Required Documents

    Creative Plates is a DVLA registered number plate seller and as such we have to adhere to strict rules set by the DVLA.  We will need to see two documents in order for us to produce your chosen plates, one to confirm your identity and one to confirm entitlement to use the registration number. This is normally a V5 log book and a driving licence, but a full list of acceptable documents can be found below. Please follow the instruction on your order confirmation email to send us the documents. 
     We do not store any of your documents and are only seen for record keeping purposes.

    Documents to confirm identity

    • A driving licence, with or without a photo (whether or not it was issued in the United Kingdom)

    • A bill from an electricity, gas or water supplier, a landline phone bill, a council tax bill or rates bill in Northern Ireland (issued within the last six months)

    • A bank or building society statement (issued In the last six months)

    • A passport (whether or not it was issued In the uk)

     

    Documents to prove entitlement to Reg number

    • Registration certificate (V5C)

    • The new keeper supplement (V5C/2)

    • A certificate of entitlement (V750)

    • A retention document (V778)

    • Reminder to get vehicle tax or make a SORN (V11)

    • A temporary registration certificate (V379)

    • A letter of authorisation from a lease or hire company, including a fleet operator. The letter must quote the document reference number from the V5C
